CRIME GENRE
This crime genre mood board was created to see how many different crime films were being presented, and to also give us some inspiration for our opening sequence. Many of the images were dark and showed an aspect of violence. By choosing to make the images smaller and larger it mimicks the 'crazy walls' that are typically shown when a protaganist is trying to hunt down a criminal.
THRILLER GENRE
I created a thriller genre mood board to see how various thriller films are being presented. I chose this genre as our film opening might have an aspect of thriller in it so it was very useful to research beforehand and take some inspiration. In order to have some knowledge of thriller films I collated a selection of pictures of some highly rated films. Many of the images were dark or had a lot of action.

HORROR GENRE
We created a horror genre themed mood board in order to gain inspiration from the various ways in which horror is presented. I chose this genre as horror draws from various other themes occasionally, for example thriller and indie. Several films used dark coloured backgrounds such as brown, black and dark blues. This created a sinister feeling and gave the audience a feeling of uneasiness when looking at it. We chose this genre as it could be interesting for our final movie. This mood board was made by selecting variously sized images as well as colours to show the wide selection of films that fall into the category. Overall I think this mood board was effective in conveying the horror genre as the overall scheme and colour gave connotations of unnerving and fear. I created this mood board on the app pages and in order to convey the distorted and fearful tone present in a horror film, I used the rotate tool and twisted the images in various angles as well as sizes to demonstrate the variety of horror genre. I added 'The ring' film poster as compared to the other horror film posters it was quite minimalist. It created an intense feeling as the single glowing circle on a black background would make the viewer curious to why the ring is so ominous and what it means.

INDIE GENRE
For inspiration, we created mood boards for several genres that we might use in our film. The genre chosen was the indie genre, we found that common factors of an indie movie included quirky characters, bright backgrounds and bold text and poster features to entice the target audience. We made it using a word page app on the mac computer. I then placed the images around in a basic colour order, from bright to dark in order to show the various ways in which the indie genre can be presented. For example, Little miss sunshine features bright colours that contrast with a film such as donnie darko that uses dark colours such as black and blue. I chose to put the character ramona from Scott Pilgrim on the foreground on a swing to highlight the quirky character that many of these films contain. I chose to include the poster of the film ' Her' as it wasn't a traditional film poster, it didn't allude to the plot of the film, the poster featured a man and no women and portrays the light hearted indie genre well.
